David A. Spencer, who is seeking to represent District 7 on the State Board of Education of Ohio, is holding a town hall meeting about education at Pierce Streetsboro Library located at 8990 Kirby Lane. Come out to meet him! The community is invited to attend.

Education issues being discussed will include charter schools, Common Core, and school performance.

David Spencer is a retired principal and teacher who worked for thirty-three years in Kent City Schools. He holds a M.Ed. from Kent State University in Theoretical Foundations in Education. He has served on several professional and community boards and taught as an adjunct instructor at Ashland University and Kent State University. He holds the Martha Holden Jennings Scholar award for Excellence in Teaching. He also is an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Kent where he serves as an Elder.
