BERLIN (AP) -- Barcelona's Lionel Messi again tops the Associated Press global football rankings this week, but Borussia Dortmund striker Marco Reus came close to toppling the Argentina striker.

Messi had 165 points and has dominated the rankings since they started last year.
Barcelona, 12 points clear at the top of La Liga, was voted team of the week with 128 points, closely followed by two German teams -- Dortmund, with 116 and Bayern Munich, which is 15 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, with 115.
