CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities say a man accused in the shaking death of a 10-month-old baby in central Ohio has waived extradition and will be brought back to the state to face charges.

Wayne Martin Walker was arrested after he stepped off a Greyhound bus in Sacramento, Calif., on Dec. 2. The 44-year-old Walker is charged with causing the death of his girlfriend's infant son in November at her home in Laurelville, south of Columbus.

The Logan Daily News (http://bit.ly/UpXLPX ) reports that the Pickaway County sheriff has 10 days to bring Walker back to Ohio to face the murder charge.

Deputies say the child's 24-year-old mother called 911 to report that her infant son was unresponsive. The child suffered injuries consistent with shaken-baby syndrome and died later at a Columbus hospital.
