Possession of marijuana: A 39-year-old Newton Falls woman was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia Sept. 3 at 12:54 a.m. on Route 43. Police said they stopped the vehicle because of headlight and license plate light violations. Police said they found a bag containing 14.2 grams of marijuana in the vehicle and a drug pipe in the woman's purse.
Endangering a child: A 39-year-old Hiram woman was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence Sept. 3 at 1:54 a.m. on Diagonal Road. The police report did not indicate why the vehicle was stopped. Police said the woman had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on her. The woman was also charged with willful/wanton operation, endangering children and resisting arrest. An 8-month-old boy was in the vehicle when police stopped it. The police report did not elaborate on the resisting arrest charges.
Drinking beer while driving: A 48-year-old Ravenna man was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence Sept. 3 at 9:34 p.m. on Route 303. Police said they stopped the vehicle because it did not stay within marked lanes, for which he was charged. Police said the man, who was drinking a can of beer at the time, failed field sobriety tests and had a .17 blood-alcohol count, above the legal limit of .08. He was also charged with speeding after traveling 55 mph in a 45 mph zone and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage.
Digital scale found: A 22-year-old Streetsboro man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Sept. 4 at 1:27 a.m. on Route 14. Police said they stopped the vehicle because it did not stay within marked lanes. Police said they found a digital scale in the vehicle.
