Charged with DUI: A 22-year-old Willoughby man was charged with possession of drugs March 5 at 7:23 p.m. on Route 14. Police said they stopped the vehicle because a headlight was out, for which the man was warned. Police said they found a small bag containing .6 grams of suspected marijuana in the vehicle.
Marijuana cigarettes found: A 22-year-old Twinsburg man was charged with possession of drugs March 6 at 2:52 a.m. on Route 14. Police said they stopped the vehicle because it had a broken driver's side tail light, for which the man was warned. Police said they found portions of four cigarettes containing less than 1 gram total of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle.
Marijuana located in vehicle: A 57-year-old Streetsboro man was charged with possession of drugs March 7 at 10:11 a.m. on Seymour Drive. The vehicle was stopped because police said the man did not have a valid driver's license, for which he was also charged. Police said they found less than .2 grams of suspected marijuana in white rolling paper inside the vehicle.
Assaulting police officer: A 26-year-old Kent woman was charged with assaulting a police officer and operating a vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage March 8 at 2:20 p.m. on Route 43. She was also charged with operating a vehicle without reasonable control and following another vehicle too closely, which is why police said they stopped the vehicle. Police said the woman smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. The report did not list the woman's blood-alcohol count. Police said the woman kicked the officer in the face, but the officer did not require medical treatment. The woman was taken to the Portage County Jail.
Mailbox struck by vehicle: A Tower Drive resident reported her mailbox was struck by a vehicle. Police responded but could not locate the vehicle. The mailbox was valued at $100.
Underage consumption: A 20-year-old Streetsboro man was arrested March 10 at 3:40 p.m. on Frost Road after police discovered he had an active warrant for his failure to appear in court on an underage consumption of alcohol charge. Police said the man was taken to the Portage County Jail.
