Service refused to resident: A 41-year-old Streetsboro woman was refused service April 9 at 8:16 p.m. at a Route 43 pharmacy because of a history of drug-related incidents, according to police. The woman reported the incident to police, who said the woman's doctor was contacted and said he declined a request to fill medication. Police said the Portage County Drug Task Force was contacted.
Items stolen from camper: A 43-year-old Elliman Road man reported more than $8,000 worth of DVDs and CDs were reported stolen April 10 at 2:46 p.m. The resident reported the items were taken from his camper sometime during the previous two weeks. Police said entry was made through the front door of the camper, which was damaged. The amount of damage was not listed on the report. Police are investigating.
No new roof: Police said a resident reported April 9 at 5:41 p.m. the new roof she paid for had not been installed. The woman reported she signed a contract with a roofing company in August 2013 to install a new roof on her home. The woman reported the company cashed her check for nearly $3,000 but has not performed any work or delivered any materials, and will not return her phone calls. Police are investigating.
Bank transaction fraudulent: A resident reported April 9 at 4:49 p.m. a fraudulent transaction on her bank account after she said someone used her debit card number to place an online order for an undisclosed amount of money. The woman reported she called the merchant, who was able to cancel the transaction before the merchandise was shipped. The bank was notified of the incident, according to police, who said the account was closed. Police are investigating.
