Police said they stopped the woman because she was not driving within marked lanes, for which she was charged. The woman smelled like alcohol and failed field sobriety tests, police said. The police report did not list the man's blood-alcohol count.
Speeding: A 31-year-old Westerville man was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol July 6 at 1:36 a.m. on Route 43 at Gaynelle Avenue. Police said they stopped the man for speeding. The man smelled like alcohol and failed field sobriety tests, according to police, who said the man's blood-alcohol count was .195, above the legal limit of .08.
Suspected marijuana found: A 29-year-old Warrensville Heights man was charged with possession of drugs July 3 at 3:20 a.m. on Route 14. Police said they stopped the vehicle because its license plate was not illuminated, for which he was charged. The man's license was suspended with work privileges, but he was "operating outside of his privileges," police said, so he was also charged with driving under suspension. A suspected marijuana cigarette was found in the vehicle, according to police, who said it was submitted for testing.
Money taken from bedroom: A Flora Drive woman reported July 5 at 5:37 p.m. that someone took $275 in cash from her bedroom while she was away from home overnight July 4. Three people had permission to be in the residence while the homeowner was gone, according to police.
