New in 2013, the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is launching a series of educational events. The first of the series will feature trends in information technology in 2013 and will take place Jan. 24 from 5-7 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 800 Mondial Pkwy., Streetsboro.
Representatives from Simplex IT will present up-to-the-minute information on a variety of Microsoft products, including The Cloud, Office 2013, backup and disaster recovery and more. The presentation is designed to help small- and medium-sized businesses with their software challenges. Refreshments will be served and networking is encouraged.
This kickoff event to the Chamber's educational series is free to 2013 members of the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. For non-members, the cost is $5 per person.

State of City address set for Feb. 13
Mayor Glenn Broska will present his State of the City address to the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce for its February lunch, which will take place Feb. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The location is to be announced.
