Chamber seeks donations for scholarships

Published:

The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce has set a goal of raising $2,500 for its scholarship fund by April 30.

Letters have been sent out to area businesses and organizations, seeking support for the fund, which is used exclusively to help Streetsboro High School students with college expenses.

Last year, two $500 scholarships were awarded, and the Chamber hopes to be able to award scholarships at the May 15 Scholarship Awards Ceremony. Funds were raised last year through donations from area businesses and individuals.

The fund was established in 2007 as a way of supporting and honoring Streetsboro graduates.

For more information or to make a donation, contact Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Heidi Inzerillo at sacc@streetsborochamber.org or Chamber Board members Debra Bish at dbish@pcbbank.com or Linda Bell at linda.bell@mtdproducts.com.
