"The 2013 Streetsboro Chamber Employment Expo is set to be a truly exciting event," said Mayor Glenn Broska. "This year's Expo is sure to evidence the power of cooperation between our Chamber, local agencies and business partners. Through support and teamwork we are offering a prime local opportunity for both job-seekers and employers to showcase their skills and advertise their businesses."

Chamber is anticipating several hundred job seekers will take advantage of the event.

Members in good standing with the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce who are seeking employees are invited to participate for free as a member benefit. While other job fairs and employment events can often cost $500 or more for exhibitors, non-Chamber member companies are welcome to participate for a fee of $250. Or exhibitors have the option to join the Chamber and can then participate in the Employment Expo at no charge. To register a spot at the Expo as an exhibitor, call the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce at 330-626-4769.

The event's main sponsor is Step2 Co. Additional companies sponsoring the event include Delta Systems Inc., Portage Development Board, ComDoc, L'Oreal USA and Record Publishing Co., which publishes the Streetsboro Gateway News and Record-Courier newspapers.

"The event focuses on connecting businesses with qualified job candidates while eliminating some of the typical challenges faced by the current employment market," said Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Heidi Inzerillo. "By partnering with the city of Streetsboro and supporting sponsors, the Chamber has anticipated the need for an event like the employment expo and has also gained considerable insight into the unique needs of local businesses and the general public. Having many employers and prospective employees under one roof has the potential to save everyone time, energy and money. There is no doubt that this event will be a benefit to everyone."
