Hairajuku, which has been located at the old McMichael building on Route 43 for three years, celebrated the grand opening of its new location at Liberty Corners Plaza Jan. 31 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Owned by Jennifer Miller, the new salon, which is at the corner of Route 43 and Market Square Drive, is twice the size of the former location.
"We outgrew our space, and we wanted to stay in Streetsboro," she said, adding she moved into the new facility around Thanksgiving last year.
The former location had four chairs and the new one, eight, or 10, counting two coloring chairs, she said.
Through Feb. 1, Hairajuku is holding a raffle benefiting the American Heart Association as part of its grand opening. The raffle includes items from Rhinehart Photography, Chuggers, Mary Ann's Sweet Treats, The Jump Palace and a variety of hairy and body products from Wella, Sebastian, Nioxin and Mialisia, said Maria Schievenin, an employee at the salon.
The grand opening, which runs from 2-5 p.m. Feb. 1, also includes door prizes, food and wine.
