The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the city of Streetsboro, invites organizations and businesses to take part in its second annual Employment Expo.

"The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its second annual employment expo," said Valerie Fiala, Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce executive director. "The event focuses on connecting businesses with qualified job candidates while eliminating some of the typical challenges faced by the current employment market. By partnering with the city of Streetsboro and supporting sponsors, the Chamber has anticipated the need for an event like the Employment Expo and has also gained considerable insight into the unique needs of local businesses and the general public. Having many employers and prospective employees under one roof has the potential to save everyone time, energy and money. There is no doubt that this event will be a benefit to everyone."

The Chamber and the city are coordinating the second annual Streetsboro Employment Expo to assist job seekers with employment opportunities and connect businesses throughout the greater Streetsboro area. The 2014 Streetsboro Employment Expo takes place in the gymnasium at Streetsboro High School, 1900 Annalane Drive in Streetsboro March 18 from 5-7:30 p.m.

"The 2013 Streetsboro Chamber Employment Expo was a truly exciting event," said Mayor Glenn Broska. "For the first time in many years, the Chamber and the city have partnered and made the Expo memorable. This year's expo is sure to give evidence of the power of cooperation between our Chamber, local agencies and business partners. Through support and teamwork, we are offering a prime local opportunity for both job-seekers and employers to showcase their skills and advertise their businesses."

There will be diversity in participation, including retail, commercial, industrial and professional businesses offering all levels of employment. Non-profit organizations seeking volunteers will be participating, as well.
