Catholic Charities' "Keep the Kids Warm" campaign runs through Jan. 13. The annual campaign aims to raise money to provide utility assistance to working poor families who don't qualify for government assistance, as well as families who need help while waiting for government subsidized programs to authorize assistance.
One-hundred percent of the money collected through "Keep Kids Warm" is returned to the community in which it was raised, helping neighbors and friends of donors. Since the annual campaign was launched in 2008, it has raised nearly $200,000 to help more than 26,000 people pay for utilities. To donate, mail contributions to Catholic Charities, Keep the Kids Warm, PO Box 614 Youngstown 44503 or donate online at 222.ccdoy.org.
