Unlike traditional library loans, patrons can place requests online and the requests are sent automatically to the libraries with the requested items. Patrons are notified when items have arrived either by phone or email.

SearchOhio is a lending consortium which consists of several public library systems throughout Ohio. Request materials in the same manner as that of the Portage County catalog. Just look for the "SearchOhio" icon at the top of the screen and order DVDs, books and more. Materials are generally available for a three week loan period (audio visual materials for seven days.) However, exact loan periods are determined by the owning libraries.

OhioLINK is a lending consortium which consists primarily of college universities throughout Ohio. As with SearchOhio, materials are requested in the same manner as that of the Portage County catalog. Just look for the "OhioLINK" icon at the top of the screen and select from collections of textbooks, magazines and more. Loan periods are the same as SearchOhio, except items with a seven-day loan period are non-renewable.
