Dr. Deborah Cowden, a central Ohio physician, is set to speak about the health effects of living near fracking and injection wells Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at King of Glory Church, next door to Streetsboro branch of the U.S. Post Office, at 1667 Route 303, Streetsboro.
She will discuss typical airborne contaminates which result from horizontal hydraulic fracturing (fracking), including a review of typical drill site sources, such as compressor stations, condensate tanks, silica sand and ground level ozone.
According to Cowden, there is "significant air contamination at every pad and well site."
