Bake and craft sale Dec. 5
The Streetsboro Senior Foundation will host a bake and craft sale Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Streetsboro Senior Center, located inside City Hall, 9184 Route 43.
The foundation also will have coffee and hot chocolate for sale at the event.
Those wishing to contribute baked goods can drop them off Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Senior Center.
Seeking donations for Streetsboro Community Pantry
The Streetsboro Senior Center is collecting items this month to donate to the Streetsboro Community Pantry.
Items sought for December include peanut butter, cereal, mustard, ketchup, dish soap, laundry soap, hand soap, toilet paper, tissue paper, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant and feminine products.
The pantry helps several families in the area, and after the holidays their shelves tend to be empty.
Trip to Alum Creek State Park Dec. 8
Seniors are invited to enjoy the music, drama, live animals and special effects of a "Living Christmas Tree" at Alum Creek State Park Dec. 8.
The "Living Christmas Tree" brings to life the Biblical Christmas story and other stories from the life of Jesus Christ.
The $65 cost of the trip includes transportation, the show, a buffet dinner at Golden Corral and driver's gratuity and applicable taxes.
Arrive at the senior center at 10:15 a.m. and expect to return at 11:30 p.m.

Holiday closures of senior center
The Streetsboro Senior Center will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1 for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Christmas party set
The Streetsboro Senior Center will host a Christmas party Dec. 19 at the senior center, beginning at 11:45 a.m.

Learn to maintain a healthy brain at a luncheon Dec. 11 at the senior center. The Gardens of the Western Reserve will be presenting. RSVP by calling the senior center at 330-626-2398.
