Hattie Larlham is hosting an open house and book signing event May 4 from 1-3 p.m at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities, 9772 Diagonal Road in Mantua.
This is a free event open to the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to take guided tours, apply for jobs and learn about Hattie Larlham's programs and services.
Hattie and Richard Larlham's son, R. Charles Larlham, will be presenting his book "The Old Man & Me," a memoir of growing up on a Portage County farm during post-World War II.
The mother of a child with developmental disabilities, Susan Busch, will discuss her book, "Yearning for Normal," in which she shares her experiences of raising a child with a genetic disorder.
