Prescription help available

Published:

The Streetsboro, Aurora and Ravenna senior centers are all participating in The Medication Assistance Program, which helps individuals of any age whose prescription costs are causing a financial hardship.

To apply for free or low-cost prescription medications, set up an appointment on the third Thursday of the month at any of those locations between noon and 3:30 p.m.

Those attending sessions should bring their prescription bottles and any samples they have; their physicians names, addresses and fax numbers; photo identification; proof of income; and current health insurance cards.

MAPS also helps connects individuals with assistance in applying for Medicare Part D and in choosing a Medicare prescription drug plan.

For more information or to arrange an appointment, call 330-297-7027 ext. 332 or email mapvolunteers@fcsohio.org.
