Nutrition series offered beginning Jan. 15

Free nutrition classes for adults who care for children are being offered at the Pierce-Streetsboro Library beginning Jan. 15 for six weeks. All classes are taught by the Ohio State University Extension personnel and will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays on the following dates:

Jan. 15: Get Moving - Learn about "My Plate" and physical activity.

Jan. 22: Plan, Shop, Save - Plan for meals that are healthy and within your budget.

Jan. 29: Fruits and Veggies.

Feb. 12: Make Half your Grains Whole

Feb. 19: Build Strong Bones and Go Lean with Protein

Feb. 26: Make a Change and Celebrate ­-- limit foods high in fat, sugar, and salt.

All participants receive class materials and incentives. Participants who attend all six classes receive a certificate of completion.
