Streetsboro Community PTA announces dress resale and buy back event March 15

For those whose children's closets are crowded with outgrown clothing, who have toy boxes filled with once-loved treasures or who have toddlers who just graduated to a twin bed, the Streetsboro Community PTA is hosting its first Kids Resale and Dress Buy Back March 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at Streetsboro Middle School, 1951 Annalane Drive.

Admission for the preview sale, from 8-9 a.m., is $5 per person, and admission to the regular sale, from 9 a.m. to noon, is $1 per person.

Concessions will be available for purchase, as well, but must remain in the school cafeteria.

Funds generated from this event will be used in part to provide scholarship opportunities for outgoing seniors and in-school educational programming at all grade levels. In the 2012-13, the Streetsboro Community PTA donated more than $28,000 to our school district.

Items available will include an array of gently-used children's and maternity clothing, shoes, books, toys, games, children's furniture and miscellaneous children and baby items.

"We are very excited to bring this opportunity to Streetsboro," said Tracy Campbell, SCPTA president. "Our hope is to provide a venue for our community to find great bargains along with providing an eager audience for those wanting to sell their gently used items. Plus, we're very excited to partner with the Streetsboro Parks and Recreation Department to offer the Dress Buy Back program."

Those interested in having a table to display and sell their gently loved treasures can sign up for the cost of $25 for one 4-foot by 6-foot table or $45 for two tables. To sign up for a table, download the registration form from the Streetsboro Community PTA website, www.streetsboropta.org, or contact Tracy Campbell at tracy@streetsboropta.org. Deadline to reserve selling space is Feb. 28.
