Student art will be on display at the Robinson Health Center at Streetsboro from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., May 5-16 for an art show organized by the Parents for Public Schools Streetsboro.
Student art, kindergarten through 12th-grade, will be included in the display on the first floor of the health center.
Select pieces from the show will be auctioned to the public. Bids will be accepted online at www.ppsstreetsboro.org. Organizers invite local businesses to take this opportunity to acquire and display a work of art created by a Streetsboro student in their office. Parents, teachers and community members may also purchase the artwork. The online auction will run from May 5-18.
A reception will take place the opening evening of the show, May 5 from 6-8 p.m.
A Celebration of the Arts dinner will conclude the show May 17 at Streetsboro High School. Tickets, available online at www.ppsstreetsboro.org, are $10 for adults and $5 for children 5-12 and senior citizens.
Along with a pasta dinner, the event will feature live student performances, crafts, a balloon artist, a silent auction and raffles. Two of the featured auction items are discounted Invisalign Braces by Braces By White in Hudson and a Columbus get-away package with a hotel night and zoo tickets.
Net proceeds from the dinner and auction will be used to enrich art education programs in the Streetsboro City Schools.
