Neos Dance Theatre will present "Creole Cinderella" at The Akron Civic Theatre, 182 South Main St. in Akron on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for this cabaret-style performance are $25 and can be purchased online through www.akroncivic.com, in person at the box office Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by phone Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling 330-253-2488.

Choreographed by Neos Dance Theatre resident choreographer, Mary-Elizabeth Fenn, Creole Cinderella places the original story line in pre-WWI New Orleans, combining the fun and frivolity of Mardi Gras with classic Dixieland tunes such as "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "Basin Street Blues," and "When the Saints Go Marching In."

The performance will feature the entire company including Artistic Director, Robert Wesner, Co-Founder, Brooke Wesner, and Resident Choreographer, Mary-Elizabeth Fenn.  Akron natives, Jennifer Moll Safonovs, Juliana Freude, and Katie Edmonds, as well as University of Akron graduate, Erin Buck, are also performing.  Neos dancer, Anna Trumbo, and Jens Lee Peterson, in the guest role of the stepmother, finish out the cast.

Neos will also present an encore performance at the Akron Public Library, 60 South High Street Akron, Ohio 44326, on March 2 as part of the Downtown Akron Partnerships March Art Walk. This special event will take place in between the hours of 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.
