The Largely Literary Theater Company will present a 45-minute version of its two-person show "Shades of Blue and Gray: Ghosts of the Civil War" at the Books for Africa Library Project's annual fundraising dinner. The event begins at 5:40 p.m. on June 7, in the St. Bernard/St. Mary Church Historical Room.

The church is in downtown Akron, at the intersection of Broadway and State streets. Parking is available at the University of Akron lot opposite the church. Those attending the free event should enter the lower-level East State Street door. The Historical Room is to the left.

The Books for Africa Library Project is a non-profit organization that helps communities set up libraries in rural Africa. The project has established libraries in Ghana and Liberia.

Compiled and performed by Largely Literary Theater Company co-founders and Cuyahoga Falls residents Sara Showman (from the South) and Mark Dawidziak (from the North), "Shades of Blue and Gray" blends haunting literary selections with ghost stories from Ohio and other states. Selections for the Books for Africa benefit will include three Ohio ghost stories and a special section about Abraham Lincoln.
