The engagement of Nicole Fannin of Diamond, the daughter of Michael Fannin of Diamond and Stephanie Fannin of Malvern, to Thaddeus Root, the son of Gordon and Valarie Root of Paris Township, is announced.
The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Virtual Community School of Ohio and is a senior at the University of Akron, studying business information systems management.
She is employed with Young Explorers Montessori School in Streetsboro.
Her fiancé is a 2006 graduate of Southeast High School and plans to graduate in December from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He is serving in the U.S. Air Force.
The couple will exchange wedding vows in August of 2014.
