Charles Carpenter and Doreen Ross were married Feb. 16, 1963, in Bedford Heights. The Streetsboro couple will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary this year.
Their children are Ken (and Katie) Carpenter of Streetsboro, Shari Carpenter of Cleveland, Mary Carpenter of Streetsboro, and Jack (and Kellie) Carpenter of Clarksburg, W.Va. They also have three grandchildren.
Charles retired in 2003 after working 39 3/4 years at Tops Warehouse in Maple Heights.
The Carpenters plan to mark their special day with an anniversary dinner at their home, hosted by their children.
