Republican John Eklund has won election to the Ohio Senate for a first full term, according to final, but unofficial election results from the Ohio Secretary of State's website.
Challenging him was Democrat Jim Mueller, who received 72,404 or about 45 percent of votes in District 18. Eklund received 88,282 or about 55 percent of votes cast, according to the secretary of state.
