Streetsboro police and FBI agents are investigating the robbery of a First Merit Bank branch in the city Thursday, Jan. 10.

Police said a male suspect walked into the First Merit branch at 9717 S.R. 14 just before 2 p.m., approached a teller and handed her a note demanding "she put money on the counter and no one gets hurt."

The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank on foot. No weapon was seen and no one was injured, according to Streetsboro police.

The suspect was later seen on foot in the area of Town Place Suites and the Fairfield Inn, both near the intersection of Mondial Parkway and S.R. 14. Security video images released by police show the suspect and another male getting into a newer model white Ford F-150 pickup truck with U-Haul decals and markings on it and leaving the area westbound on Interstate 480.

The suspect is described as a white male, bald, approximately 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing sunglasses and a gray hooded sweatshirt with "Apocalypse" and a set of wings on the back.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect is asked to call Streetsboro police at 330-626-4976 or the FBI's Akron office at 330-535-6156.
