Update: Street value of marijuana in Streetsboro bust estimated at $4,400

During a vehicle search shortly after midnight March 6, Streetsboro Police found about a pound of suspected marijuana, according to a news release from the Streetsboro Police Department.

Samantha M. Ehlert, 19, and Robert A. Webb, 22, both of Willowick, are charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony.

The car, driven by Ehlert, was stopped on Route 14 near Mondial Parkway for a registration violation. According to police, she and her passenger, Webb, both had suspended drivers' licenses.

After calling a tow truck, officers searched the vehicle, finding the pound of suspected marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle and a plastic bag full containing $9,000 in cash under a seat. They were taken to the Portage County Jail to await arraignment.
