Kent center offers grief support groups

Published:

Kelly's Grief Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that was founded in 2009 to provide support and counseling by licensed counselors for adults, teens, and children grieving the loss of a loved one. The center serves individuals of all ages and offers support through both individual and/or group counseling. The groups are designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for people to share their loss journey.

Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month, three support groups meet to help participants understand and work through their grief. These consist of one group for children, one for teens, and one for adults. All the groups focus on teaching participants healthy ways to cope with their feelings and emotions.

The groups meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Kelly's Grief Center is located in the Counseling for Wellness building at 420 W. Main St. in Kent. Pre-registration is required; call 330-677-2000.

Additional parking is available at Christ Episcopal Church, 118 S. Mantua Street. For further information contact Aileen, Amanda, or Loralea at 330-677-2000.
