Streetsboro police: Road rage shooting on I-480 happened in Summit County

Streetsboro police have handed an investigation into a shooting Friday, May 24 on Interstate 480 over to Summit County authorities after determining that an alleged road rage incident occurred there.

Lt. Darin Powers said Friday that Streetsboro police were notified by Twinsburg police of an alleged road rage shooting in which a suspect fired several shots out of his window into the side of another vehicle on I-480 westbound. No injuries were reported.

Twinsburg police took the initial call, and a suspect was located and stopped on Interstate 271 by Bedford police, Powers said.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office is investigating, he said.
