Streetsboro — Improvements continue at Thomas Heritage Park.
Streetsboro — Sometime in September, the city, with help from volunteers from Streetsboro's Lowe's store, is planning to install a 45-foot by 16-foot deck on the banks of the fishing pond at Thomas Heritage Park on Route 303, according to Parks and Recreation Director Greg Mytinger.
Mytinger estimated the deck would cost around $8,000, and the bulk of the cost would be materials. He said he'd like to use a composite wood because it would last longer than regular lumber.
City Council still needs to approve the expenditure, he added.
