UPDATE 2:30 p.m.: Boston Township — Authorities confirmed a partial skull, jawbone and other bones were found at the Valley Picnic Area off Riverview Road, approximately 1 mile south of state Route 303 in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Two park visitors found the human remains Sept. 9 and reported it to the park authorities about 5 p.m. The FBI evidence response team is assisting in the investigation and searching the area.
The Cuyahoga Valley National Park will conduct a press conference at 12:30 p.m. about a discovery at the park. Jennie Vasarhelyi with the CVNP said it is her understanding that hikers yesterday discovered what looked like a human jawbone at the park. According to the Cleveland office of the FBI, the FBI Evidence Response Team was asked to conduct a search this morning associated with the discovery, and the park will be commenting on the search results.
