Alliance police's latest online solicitation sting involved a Streetsboro man who admitted that he had been HIV positive for more than two decades.

Christopher Kent Parma, 50, was arrested at 1:27 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 2500 block of West State Street in Alliance on charges of soliciting, a third-degree felony, and possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, after officers responded to his online ad seeking sex.

Parma allegedly exchanged emails with an undercover officer and came to Alliance the afternoon of Aug. 4 to meet with an undercover officer, who Parma was going to pay $50 to let him perform a sex act.

During booking, Parma advised officers that he was HIV positive and had been for more than 25 years.

Due to the fact the defendant was HIV positive, the soliciting charge was elevated to a third-degree felony and the possession of criminal tools to a fifth-degree felony.
