Buffalo Wild Wings gets makeover

Streetsboro's Buffalo Wild Wings, located at the corner of Route 14 and Superior Avenue, is getting a makeover.

According to Julie Brandle, president of Metis Construction, the interior has been "pretty much" gutted.

"All the finishings will be new; it'll be nice and fresh," she said.

Brandle said Metis also is installing plumbing and electrical updates.

The construction company is also removing a fireplace and adding a meeting room.

"You can have business meetings in there or private parties," said Brandle.

Brandle said the interior work should be completed by the end of August.

The city also approved new signs for the exterior of the building, including one that created some debate.

A vertical rectangular sign is planned for the side of the building facing Route 14, and Streetsboro Planning & Zoning Commission members asked that it be lowered so the top of the logo is even with the main roof line.

"Overall, it's probably going to drop a foot-and-a-half to 2 feet from where it stands now [in the submitted plans]," said Tom Horsfall, commission chair.

A monument sign also was approved, with final landscaping to be approved by Cieszkowski.

The commission voted 6-0 to approve three signs on the building.
