Child pornography possession nets guilty plea for Ravenna Twp. man

A Ravenna Township man faces a maximum of 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to 10 felony charges in connection with an arrest for possessing child pornography in Streetsboro in 2013.

Wesley E. Hudson, 67, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, all fourth-degree felonies, in Portage County Common Pleas Court on July 18. A sentencing date in Judge Laurie Pittman's courtroom has not been set.

A Portage County grand jury found sufficient evidence to charge Hudson in a 26-count indictment handed up in May. He was charged with possessing, receiving or exchanging child pornography between Jan. 1 and Oct. 15, 2013. Streetsboro police investigated the case.

Hudson remains free on bond pending sentencing.
