Gas aggregration offers low, consistent rate

Constellation Energy gets contract following competitive bid process

Published:

Streetsboro city officials have chosen Constellation Energy Gas Choice Inc. to provide residents and small business with a low-cost natural gas supplier.

The choice followed a competitive bidding process under the state's aggregation program.

The cost of gas will be $4.33 per Mcf from November 2014 to October 2016.

"We are delighted to secure such a low rate for our residents and small businesses," said Mayor Glenn Broska. "Constellation's fixed rate is more competitive than other current, comparable term offers listed on Public Utilities Commission of Ohio comparison charts and will help residents control their natural gas costs."

Notices have been mailed out explaining the rate, term, conditions and various methods of enrolling the city's natural gas program. It also includes directions explaining how to enroll by phone, mail, fax or online at www.constellation.com/streetsboro.

"Constellation is proud to offer residents and small businesses in the city of Streetsboro price certainty and the hassle-free low rates we offer all customers," said Bruce Stewart, chief marketing officer for Constellation. "As a national energy leader with deep roots in serving Ohio's residential, commercial/industrial and governmental customers, we look forward to providing natural gas supply and a range of competitive products to Streetsboro's residential and small business customers."
