Streetsboro -- Police are investigating a Dec. 11 robbery that left an employee tied in duct tape. Police received a call at 6:04 p.m. from an employee of America Cash Advance on Route 14, saying she had been tied up during a robbery that occurred at the business. The employee told police that a man entered the empty store alone right before closing and said told the lone employee he was robbing the store and tied her with duct tape at the back of the store. Police said the man took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash holders in the store. The bound employee freed herself, according to the police department, but stayed hidden until the robber left. After the suspect left, she called police. She suffered no injuries, according to police. According to police, the suspect did not mention or produce any weapons. Police Lt. Roy Mosley said the incident remains under investigation, and a surveillance video will be reviewed by the department. Comments
