St. Joan of Arc member

Nanci A. Szabo, 67, of Streetsboro, died Dec. 29, 2007 in the presence of her family.

Born Aug. 6, 1940 in Bedford to the late Clara Keever Martin, Mrs. Szabo was a longtime resident of Streetsboro, a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and an active member of the Sweet Adeline's women's chorus.

She was employed with the State of Ohio License Bureau and American Patio Rooms. She is survived by daughters, Michele (Donald) Mitchell of Garrettsville and Stephanie Szabo of Florida; sons, Michael (Sandi) Szabo of Streetsboro, Steve (Robyn) Szabo of Florida; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson Billy Mitchell.

Mrs. Szabo was preceded in death by her husband, Steven M. Szabo, and her step-father, Roy Martin.

Funeral Mass took place Jan. 3 at St. Joan of Arc Church with the Rev. Fr. Pat Ferraro officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Streetsboro Fire Department, 9184 Route 43 Streetsboro 44241.
