St. Joan of Arc * The Feast of the Epiphany is this weekend and also the official beginning of Mardi Gras festivities. The Family Life Committee will host a genuine Mardi Gras party Jan. 26. The time has yet to be set. * The Rev. Fr. Pat Ferraro will travel with the Rev. Fr. J-Glenn Murray to Rome for 10 days beginning Jan. 13. Ferraro plans several pastoral visits and will stay at the motherhouse of the Viatorian Fathers. Masses are offered the following times: Each Monday through Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m. with Communion offered on Tuesdays; Saturday evenings at 5 and Sunday at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. St. Joan of Arc Parish is located at 8894 Route 14. Frost Road Chapel Weekly services: On Wednesdays, a midweek service is offered at 7 p.m., the same time that youth group meets. At 8 p.m. on Wednesdays the youth committee meets. * The Chapel at Tinkers Creek has started a new series on the church's core values of simplicity, authenticity, service, and story during the Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. at Streetsboro Middle School. * Jan. 21 is the youth group's ski day followed by a Feb. 15-16 winter youth retreat at Camp Carl in Ravenna. * Wednesday programming continues from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m., and Sunday worship is at 10:30 a.m., both at Streetsboro Middle School. Parkside Church The Women's Essence Ministry will present the "Hearth and Home" series Jan. 12, 19 and 26 from 9 to 11 a.m. The areas to be covered are cooking, fashion and decorating. The Journeymen's Men's Ministry will present a series of topical talks titled "Sex, Money, Power" Jan. 14 and 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $5 at the door.
