The AlterNation at WSTB 88.9 FM is gearing up for a busy year with a return to one staff event following a three year absence and a change in location for another. This year the AlterNation broadcast tent will return to the Streetsboro Family Days in July.
A conflict the past three years has prevented the station from attending the event.
Also, the station's long-time presence at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life will continue, but this year we will be moving the broadcast tent to Stow and the Stow/Hudson event.
Dates of events this year are below:
* Feb. 26 -- Pre-Membership Drive meeting and dinner in Room 103 (5-8 p.m.)
* Feb. 28 -- Academic Showcase at Streetsboro High School (3-8 p.m.)
* March 2 through 9 -- Annual Membership Drive
* May 31 -- American Cancer Society Stow/Hudson Relay for Life at Stow High School (all day)
* July 5 -- Kent Heritage Festival in downtown Kent (all day)
* July 24-26 -- Streetsboro Family Days at Campus School
* Dec. 27 -- Overload 2008 concert in the high school auditorium (7 -10 p.m.)
