Frost Road Chapel

Weekly services: On Wednesdays, a midweek service is offered at 7 p.m., the same time that youth group meets. At 8 p.m. on Wednesdays the youth committee meets.

St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church

* United Methodist Women will next meet Feb. 9. at the church. The group will begin a new Bible study on "Women of the New Testament."

* Sunday's worship schedule is as follows: Contemporary worship, 9 a.m.; Sunday School, 9 a.m.; and traditional worship, 10:30 a.m. Holy Communion is offered each Sunday.

* Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Monday at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m.

* The Youth Group meets at 6 p.m. each Thursday.

* Palm Sunday services take place March 16 at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Maundy Thursday's Seder Meal will take place March 20 at 6 p.m. A Good Friday service will take place March 21 at 7 p.m.

St. Joan of Arc

* The Youth Ministry also has set the date for its Fifth Annual Joanie's Diner and Chinese Auction Feb. 16. The time hasn't been announced.

Masses are offered the following times: Each Monday through Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m. with Communion offered on Tuesdays; Saturday evenings at 5 and Sunday at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.

St. Joan of Arc Parish is located at 8894 Route 14.

Faith Baptist Church
of Streetsboro

Sunday at 9:30 a.m. -- Sunday school starts for children and teens. Meeting at this time are also five adult Bible fellowship groups.

Sunday at 10:45 a.m. -- This worship service features a blend of classic and modern hymns, as well as current worship songs accompanied by a full band and singers.

Streetsboro United Methodist Church

* A craft and treasure show will take place March 8 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Streetsboro United Methodist Church, 8940 Route 43.

Admission is $1. Door prizes will be offered throughout the craft show. The show will feature crafts, baked goods, a lunch bar, and separate "flea market area." The event is sponsored and organized by the "Hope Builders" Appalachian Service Project Group, a cooperative home repair youth ministry of area churches.

First Baptist Church
of Streetsboro

Dave Harney of Dave Harney Ministries will present a series of messages at The First Baptist Church of Streetsboro located at the corner of Route 43 and Seasons Road Feb. 10 through Feb. 13.

Harney, a renowned vocalist, will sing and preach in both the 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services on Feb. 10, and each night after that at 7 p.m. through Feb. 13. For more information or transportation, call the Rev. Dr. Mel Grubaugh, pastor, at 330-626-3446.

The Chapel
at Tinkers Creek

* The Chapel at Tinkers Creek has started a new series on the church's core values of simplicity, authenticity, service, and story during the Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. at Streetsboro Middle School.

* A winter retreat to Camp Carl in Ravenna is planned Feb. 15-16.

* The Chapel at Tinkers Creek has added youth pastor Kasey Parmelee, who's been serving the church part time since 2005. He's been splitting his time between serving the Chapel and Camp Carl in Ravenna as program director, but he will now focus on serving the Chapel at Tinkers Creek. With a bachelor of arts degree in youth ministry, Parmelee said he enjoys bringing theology to kids in a way they can grasp.

United Methodist Church of Aurora

The United Methodist Women meets the second Sunday of each month at noon for lunch, business and a program. Females 12 and older can attend.

The monthly meeting date of the United Methodist Men has been changed to the second Sunday of the month for breakfast at 8 a.m.

On Feb. 6, anyone can receive ashes on Ash Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. A service of ashes will be at 7 p.m.

Logos will meet Feb. 13 to March 12, with a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. and activities to follow.

Lakeview Chapel

This Sunday's worship topic is "Morning Invitation Can Confirm," the last in a five-week series titled "Morning Routines."

A nursery and kids church is available during the service for infants through fifth-graders. Classes for ages 3 to adult begin at 9:30 a.m.

On Wednesdays, adults and youths gather for various programs from 7 to 8 p.m. The nursery is open.

A Bible study for men takes space Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. at Starbucks. All are welcome to participate in the series "Men of Integrity."

Hope Lutheran

Dan Coleman is serving as captain for the outreach committee's 2008 Relay for Life team. The Relay will be May 31 and June 1. For details, call Coleman at 330-562-9017.

The next session of the women's Bible study will be Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Judy Rediger's home in Streetsboro. For details, call her at 330-626-1714. The group is studying the book of James.

Bible studies also are available for men, couples and links and young families-parents. A Sunday adult Bible class meets at 9:15 a.m. to discuss "An In-Depth Look at the Psalms."

A winter blahs event for children will be Feb. 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Youngsters can enjoy crafts, singing, stories and lunch. For details, call Nancy Welsh at 330-995-9305.

Bainbridge UCC

The deadline to sign up to participate in adult fellowship dinners is Feb. 10. Orders for Easter lilies must be placed by March 9. Cost is $7.50 for a 6-inch pot.

Jerry L. Murphy has signed on as interim pastor for another six months until Aug. 14.

Murphy leads confirmation classes Sundays at 1 p.m. Confirmands meet with their sponsors at noon.

The Chagrin Valley Council of Churches' Lenten series begins Feb. 13 at Lord of Life Lutheran. Bainbridge UCC will host on March 5. Worship starts at 7:30.
