Resident Irene Blanche Breakiron, 81, of Streetsboro, died Feb. 21, 2008. Born June 22, 1926, in Crescent to the late Ellis and Anna (Nemeth) Katona, Mrs. Breakiron enjoyed embroidering, watching ice skating, and was well known for wearing bright nail polish. Mrs. Breakiron is survived by her children, Charles (Linda) Barr of Cleveland; James (Vicki) Smith of Cuyahoga Falls; Joseph (Sue) Smith of Plant City, Fla.; and Mary (Charles) Johnson of Ravenna; step-son Douglas Breakiron of Kent; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Ann Loicano of Garfield Heights, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Breakiron was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Breakiron, and brothers John, Andrew, and William Katona. Funeral services are set for Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Comments
