Streetsboro -- A Luke Drive resident reported March 3 that his high definition TV, worth an undisclosed amount, was stolen from his home during the day. According to the report, the man said he left his home at 5 a.m. and discovered the TV was gone when he returned at 8:10 p.m. with no signs of forced entry. The resident told police very few people have access to his home, and the back door doesn't lock well. Police said there are no suspects at this time. Theft Feb. 29. Gun, bullet-proof vest missing: A Bridgeport Avenue resident reported a gun and bullet-proof vest, worth an undisclosed amount, were missing from his apartment. According to the report, the resident last saw the items Sept. 10 when he first moved to the city from Cleveland Heights. The resident told police he would retrieve the serial number for the gun so it could be entered into a national database of missing weapons. Police said no further action was taken. Public intoxication Feb. 29. Man charged with public intoxication: An officer responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated man along Route 14 who was having trouble walking during the evening. According to the report, the officer found the man, who tried to hide behind a business building. Police said the man tried to run into the building but was stopped by employees, where the officer arrested him. The man was charged with public intoxication and released at the police station to his mother. Operating a vehicle while intoxicated Feb. 29. Woman charged with driving while intoxicated: Officers responded to a Market Square Drive business to a reported domestic incident during the evening. According to the report, a man and a woman denied an altercation had taken place. Police said both individuals showed signs of intoxication and were told not to drive home. Both people told officers they would have a friend take them home. Later, an officer saw the woman driving along Route 14 and pulled the vehicle over, according to the report. Police said the woman failed a field sobriety test, but refused to take a breath test. The woman was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was released at the police station to a friend, according to the report. Suspected drug possession Feb. 29. Man charged with suspected drug possession: An officer pulled over a driver on Route 43 for crossing the center line and obstructing view of a license plate early in the morning. According to the report, the driver admitted to the officer that he had a small bag of suspected marijuana, worth an undisclosed amount, underneath his seat. Police said the driver was charged with possession of suspected marijuana, marked lane violations and having an obstructed license plate and was released at the scene. Other police news March 3. Man puts head through wall: Police responded to a Frost Road home after a woman reported a man had "put his head through the wall three times" during the early morning. According to the report, officers found the man bleeding from his head. There also was a hole in one the walls. Police said the man showed signs of intoxication and had "gotten mad" which led him to put his head through the wall. The man was treated by the fire department, according to the report.
