St. Joan of Arc * The Senior Ministry will host a workshop April 8 at 1 p.m. to help seniors with disabilities function. Bring any aids which can be discussed. The group also will discuss resources available to seniors with disabilities, including a possible help line for seniors who don't drive due to vision problems. * Masses are offered the following times: Each Monday through Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m. with communion offered on Tuesdays; Saturday evenings at 5 and Sunday at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. St. Joan of Arc Parish is located at 8894 Route 14. St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church * Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Mondays at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. * The Youth Group meets at 6 to 8 p.m. each Thursday. * A property committee meeting will take place at 9 a.m. April 5. * Adult catechism classes begin at 7 p.m. April 8 and continue each Tuesday evening in April at the same time. * A church rummage sale will take place June 5, 6 and 7. A meeting will take place April 13 at 11:30 a.m. for those interested in organizing the event. Collections will begin May 11. Sunday at 9:30 a.m. -- Sunday school starts for children and teens. Meeting at this time also are five adult Bible fellowship groups. Sunday at 10:45 a.m. -- This worship service features a blend of classic and modern hymns, as well as current worship songs accompanied by a full band and singers. Chapel at Tinkers Creek Three different adult Bible fellowships meet at 9 a.m. each Sunday at Streetsboro Middle School. Also meeting Sundays at 9 a.m. are youth classes for middle school and high school students. TinkerTown Kids meet at 9 a.m. each Sunday at the middle school. The regular worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Children's church takes place at the same time. Both meet at the middle school, located at 1951 Annalane Drive. Hope Lutheran Church of Aurora Hope Nursery School will have an open house April 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and April 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. Movie night will be April 11 from 6 to 9. A contribution of $5 per hour per child is asked. The couples Bible study will resume sessions April 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Richner's home on Hanes Road. For details, call 330-562-6841. Traditional worship is Sundays at 8:15 a.m., with adult Bible class at 9:15 a.m. and contemporary worship and children's Sunday school at 10:15. Lakeview Chapel Worship starts Sundays at 10:45 a.m. Classes for ages 3 to adult begin at 9:30. A nursery and kids church are available during worship for infants to fifth-graders. Aurora Mennonite Church The church invites the public to a special service April 13 at 10:30 a.m. to appreciate area wrestlers. Speakers will be Joe and Jim Boardwine, state wrestling champs from Streetsboro, and Jim Kuchta, a coach and a member of the Streetsboro state championship team. There will be a lunch afterwards. Aurora Mennonite Church is located on the corners of Route 43 and East Mennonite Road in Aurora. Hope Lutheran Church of Aurora The couples and links Bible study will resume April 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Richner's' home on Hanes Road. For details, call 330-562-6841. The next men's Bible study will be April 14 at 7:15 p.m. at Chuck Godale's home on East Pioneer Trail, and the women's Bible study will meet that night at 6:30 at Dolores Oberdorfer's Devorah Drive home. Anyone interested in the young family-parents Bible study should contact Brian Welsh. Hope Christian Nursery School's movie night will be April 11 from 6 to 9. It is for children ages 2 to 10. Hot chocolate, juice, popcorn and snacks will be provided. A contribution of $5 per hour per child is asked. Call 330-562-8260 to register. Hope Community Chapel Hope Community Church, 3033 Middleton Road, is involved in "Celebrate Recovery," a Christ-centered group program to help people hurting. The program is designed to help free participants from addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors.
