First Baptist Church
Nationally known prophecy scholar, Dr. Wally Williams, will be at the First Baptist Church of Streetsboro, located at the corner of Route 43 and Seasons Road, April 20. He will speak during both the 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services. Dr. Williams delivers a presentation of prophecy through a full-color multimedia presentation on a large screen. St. Joan of Arc * Masses are offered the following times: Each Monday through Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m. with communion offered on Tuesdays; Saturday evenings at 5 and Sunday at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. St. Joan of Arc Parish is located at 8894 Route 14. St. Thomas Evangelical Lutheran Church * Alcoholics Anonymous meets each Mondays at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. * The Youth Group meets at 6 to 8 p.m. each Thursday. * Adult catechism classes began meeting April 8 and will continue each Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in April at the same time. * A church rummage sale will take place June 5, 6 and 7. Collections will begin May 11. Sunday school meets at 9:30 a.m. for children and teens. Meeting at this time also are five adult Bible fellowship groups. Sunday at 10:45 a.m. -- This worship service features a blend of classic and modern hymns, as well as current worship songs accompanied by a full band and singers. Streetsboro United Methodist Church * The church will host a community dinner April 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The dinner is free. Volunteers are needed to bake desserts, cook, serve, and set up the event are needed. To help out or for more information, call Diane Bonham at 330-650-4603. * Those interested in providing comfort to someone in the final stages of life may consider providing respite relief for caretakers of those in hospice care. Visits could include running errands, light housekeeping, snack preparation, and offering companionship. Spring training for volunteers is beginning soon. Chapel at Tinkers Creek Three different adult Bible fellowships meet at 9 a.m. each Sunday at Streetsboro Middle School. Also meeting Sundays at 9 a.m. are youth classes for middle school and high school students. TinkerTown Kids meet at 9 a.m. each Sunday at the middle school. The regular worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Children's church takes place at the same time. Both meet at the middle school, located at 1951 Annalane Drive. Hope Lutheran Church of Aurora Hope Nursery School will have an open house April 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and April 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. Traditional worship is Sundays at 8:15 a.m., with adult Bible class at 9:15 a.m. and contemporary worship and children's Sunday school at 10:15. Lakeview Chapel Worship starts Sundays at 10:45 a.m. Classes for ages 3 to adult begin at 9:30. A nursery and kids church are available during worship for infants to fifth-graders. Aurora Mennonite Church A church work day will be April 19 to clean up around the church and grounds. Pastor Naomi Engle will preach April 20 at Maplewood Christian Center in Ravenna. The next community dinner will be May 2. Aurora Mennonite Church is located on the corners of Route 43 and East Mennonite Road in Aurora. Hope Community Chapel Hope Community Church, 3033 Middleton Road, is involved in "Celebrate Recovery," a Christ-centered group program to help people hurting. The program is designed to help free participants from addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. Parkside Church in Chagrin Falls "TrueLife Singles" invites all singles 35 and over to a fellowship dinner at Parkside Church May 2 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30). Guest speaker is the Rev. Jeff Mills. This will be an opportunity for Christian fellowship and to meet new singles. The cost is $10 per person for the catered dinner. Rejoice Lutheran Church On May 4 at noon, Rejoice Lutheran Church will host a groundbreaking ceremony in anticipation of building its new church in Hudson. The ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at 7855 Stow Road, just north of Middleton Road in Hudson. The congregation is currently worshipping at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School at the corner of Middleton and Stow Roads.
