Volunteer opportunities at Defer Those wondering how they can contribute the school have their opportunity. Henry Defer Intermediate School is seeking volunteers to help during the week of April 28 to May 1 between 8 and 10:40 a.m. That's when students will be taking the Ohio Achievement Test this year. Volunteers are needed to monitor the hallways and escort students to and from classes. To volunteer, call 330-422-2480, option 2. Defer moving toward paperless interim reports In an effort to become more eco-friendly, Henry Defer Intermediate School is moving toward paperless interim notifications. Many teachers already have implemented the practice, and suggested parents preview their child's grades on the Parent Internet Viewer. Parents received their username and password for PIV at the beginning of the school year. Those who have no access to the Internet should call 330-422-2480 for interim reports. WSTB announces staff transitions WSTB 88.9 is near completion of the transitions to next year's broadcast team. Last week, the station announced Brett Nola will serve as assistant music director working closely with Arlin Bradford. In addition, the 2008-09 specialty show hosts were announced. Bradford will host The AlterNation Morning Show, Casey "CJ" Braun the Top 15 Countdown, and Becky "Ginger" Butler the Friday Request Show.
