Chamber golf outing set at Raccoon Hill The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce's 10th Annual Golf Outing has been set for July 11. The event, which will take place at Raccoon Hill Golf Course. The $85 cost per golfer includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, drinks, dinner, and the chance to take home prizes. Non-golfers who want to support the event may donate a prize, sponsor a hole, or volunteer on the day of the event. Registration forms will be sent to chamber members soon. The Streetsboro Gridiron Club is hosting a Night at the Races on May 2 at the Streetsboro American Legion Post No. 685 on Aurora-Hudson Road. The cost is $15 for entry and dinner. During the dinner, pre-recorded races will be selected at random with attendees able to "buy" a horse for $10 each. Attendees can name the horse and an announcer will call the race as it happens "live. If an attendee owns the winning horse for a race, they win the pot of money. Knowledge of horse racing is not required to have a good time and participate in any of the 10 races. The door for the event will open at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. For more information or to buy tickets, call Dr. Sam Lewis at 330-422-1551.
