Former Streetsboro Boy Scout leader Wayne Franklin Wright Sr., 73 of Diamond, formerly of Streetsboro, died May 7, 2008, at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Born March 23, 1935, in Pike Township to the late E. Franklin and Goldie (nee McGarvey) Wright, Mr. Wright was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former Boy Scout Troop leader in Streetsboro. Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rebecca Jane (nee Salway) Wright; children Pamela (Garey) Moors of Streetsboro, Wayne (Donna Nemcheck) Wright Jr. of Twinsburg, Betty (Glenn) Hatala of Atwater, Rachel (John) Gibbner of Streetsboro; grandchildren Rebecca (Matt) Fredmonsky, Gregory Moors, Daniel Wright, Heather Wright, Emily Hatala, Wayne Hatala, and Robert Gibbner; brothers Jack (Jackie) Wright, Larry (Pat) Wright; sisters Dorothy (John) Zawaski, Yvonne Bauer, Judy (Ronald) Albaugh, Sandy Mosley, Carol (Rich) Kreiger, and Pat (Tom) Burkhart. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold and Chuck Wright, and sisters, Betty Ann McCaig and Marge Swietzer. Funeral services were officiated by the Rev. Neil Taylor May 12 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment followed at Maple Grove Cemetery.
