Introducing 'Tween Reads' newsletter

Portage County District Library announces NextReads, the library's online newsletter service provider, has introduced a new "Tween Reads" newsletter that's now available.

"Tween Reads" features fun novels (and an occasional nonfiction book) ranging from new and recently released titles to amazing older books that readers have yet to discover. This newsletter will be published monthly, and includes a variety of great reading suggestions.

Subscribing to "Tween Reads" or any of the other 25 NextReads newsletters is easy. No library card is necessary -- just an e-mail address. Additional fiction and nonfiction newsletter topics include biography and memoir, fantasy, mystery, nature and science, and audiobooks.

In addition, there are two children's newsletters and one for teens, "Teen Scene." Newsletters are sent on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, and include up to 12 book recommendations each. Newsletters link directly to the Portage County catalog, so subscribers can place a hold or request a title immediately. Those library patrons without e-mail addresses can take advantage of the newsletters by viewing them online, either at the library or from another Internet access point.

Sign up online for NextReads' online newsletters by visiting the Portage County District Library's Web site at www.portagelibrary.org, or visit Pierce-Streetsboro Library for more information.
