Clarence and Gladys (Delin) Longstreth of Kent celebrated their 60th anniversary at a party on Jan. 24 given by their children and grandchildren. More than 60 family members and friends were on hand to wish them well at the Fellowship Hall of their church, the Full Gospel House of Prayer in Streetsboro. The Longstreths were married Jan. 8, 1949 in Brady Lake. Their children are Sue (Mark Charlton) Bernadine of Kent, Jean (Harold) Myers of Kent, Ellen (Lan) Elkins of Kent, Cindi Harriman of Fresno, Cheryl Longstreth of Ravenna, Nancy (Tom) Haymaker of Ravenna, and the late Larry Longstreth. The Longstreths have 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Clarence worked at Davey Compressor until it closed and then worked for the Streetsboro School District, from which he is now retired. Both are retired from Mobile Meals. Clarence enjoys playing the guitar and is a champion horseshoe player and a master gardener. Gladys enjoys knitting, crocheting, playing puzzles and bingo, and having coffee with her neighbors.
